From Caretaker to Creator-Rediscovering My Identity Beyond Motherhood

I discuss how although I gave my children my thirties, I won't give them my forties. (Even though it's tempting to do so.)

We talk about women aging “well” in regard to our physical selves as if that’s the only part that matters. I want to nurture my intellect with words and wisdom just as I nurture my skin with Retina-A. I want to perfect my writing and hone my craft, and know that I set a goal in my forties and achieved it. Most important, I want to know I can provide for myself.
