When Your Father’s Killed Five Days Before Christmas: Coping with Prolonged Grief After Losing A Parent

It’s been five years since my father’s death.  I began writing to cope with my sadness. Loss can’t be comprehended until you live it. The stages of grief are not linear. It took me years to accept his absence, but I’m finally okay. Grief can feel isolating when you are experiencing it, but it’s universal. What I’ve learned is to have empathy with those suffering loss in any shape and form.

Sharing my latest Medium boosted essay on my five year journey with grief. Love and miss you daddy.
